Happy birthday to your niece then too.
Optimally, they should be stacked side by side, but that's really a
lot of work compared to stacking them one over the other. I'm running
the M2 9element and I have another. Ive thought about stacking
vertically too, but the single one seems to do just fine. If you're
using them in vertical polarization, you're going to interaction with
the mast. If horizontal, no problem.
The 736 is a really great rig. It's a little deaf, so I am using an
18db preamp on 2m. The fact that it's a bit deaf isn't a bad thing. It
makes it better with handling overload and far less subject to
intermod. With you being in the city, I would imagine there's a ton of
RF flying around. The only think I've noticed is that the internal
power supply is a switching supply and it was generating some noise on
my HF rigs, so I am now running it off my big Astron and no more noise.
