I have to start to stay up a little later, I guess I have missed quite a bit of activity. I have no clue what went down but it seems to have upset you a great deal and I applaud you for your defense of said amateur. By the way I have lost 12 pounds so far..hihi This is a great hobby and I have always felt a sence of pride in how we as hams from different backgrounds and cultures can get along so well, regardless of any shortcomings. I too love this hobby in whatever form it takes{ modulated laser} is that for electrolysis ? and I love to have a frequency like 450 to go to and get away from much of the mundane conversation that I enjoy at 2am so I don't crash and burn on my long ride to NJ. So in closing, since I have to get back to my cyber sex soon, let's all try to be a little more humble and not so full of ourselves and start to appreciate what everyone has to offer no matter what type of person or personality  they are. Also could someone get on 450 before 6pm Monday thru Friday I have not used my antenna in weeks, it just sits there pointed north all alone...73 you freaks....good freaks though..Charlie N1MUQ......PS: please don't send me any hate mail I hate that....TTFN----- Original Message -----From: Bob Date: Friday, February 10, 2012 11:55 pmSubject: [450] It's a damn shame. To: 450 <450 at lists.vhfwiki.com>> There was a time that 144.450 was known for operators > enthusiastic and> knowledgable with regard to the hobby.> Operators and atmosphere offering an alternative to the mindless > chatter of> the repeaters and the clique-ish nature of other > bands/frequencies, etc.> that tended to discourage new or inexperienced operators from staying> involved in the hobby or learning or growing in it.> New operators were welcomed, encouraged, and the understanding was> generally that without this sort of thing not only would the > frequency die,> the hobby would as well.> That being said, I find it sad, discouraging and downright> embarrassing that it has become quite the opposite.> New folks come along and are chased away.
