MMMM....homemade pizza.  Been makin' it for the last few years. Tried all
the internet and book recipes for dough and it's never as good as a blob of
the store-bought stuff. Tried all diff. yeasts, flours (bread flour seems
best), letting it rise slow in fridge (best)  and fast in a warm area then
punch down, hand kneeding and machine kneeding. Store stuff still better.Go
figure.

Use a stone?  Ya gotta have a stone for any kind of good crust. In fact I
just leave it lying in the bottom of the oven constantly. Even when not in
use as a pizza stone it acts as a kind of thermal capacitor and helps keep
oven temps even when baking other things. Every oven in the world should
have a slab of quarry stone in it.
