I would tend to agree with John.....people don't realize how their words
sound at times like these, I witnessed this personally when my cousin lost
his young son.
Just let it go and maybe do as George said and block his e-mail.
Very sorry for your friends loss Leslie...

As much as you guys see at as some loser with no life, I see it completely
the opposite way. The man could quite honestly have meant it sincerely or
just not have realized that his message would have come across so poorly.
It doesn't look malicious to me. It's just silly yea. I wouldn't have done
it. But there are lots of people who don't get social issues like that so
well - especially cooped up technie nerd hams.

Tell me gentleman. what would you do. This "ham" need to be roasted by me
or do I let it lie that he not only figured he should search the data base
for ham operators in our town and blindly, coldly send out a dead hearted
email like this? Or do I just brush it off as a jerk who has no life.
His title alone screams of a needed verbal beating. I find it completely
vile for some reason. I am not just knee jerk reacting either. Note the
time now and the time of the email. I gave this some thought and decided it
might be better fielded by you. I am exhausted. We go to funeral number
one tomorrow. A 6 year old brother of one of our band boys.
