[450] Latest pics of station N1UJS

Hey guys,

Dave and Kim (K1FSY and spouse) just gave us a new camera, so Leslie took some pics for me today since it's been a long time since I've shared any updates.

Here is the back up battery set up looking through the back garage door.....

Here it is again.......

and again........that is 1/0 # cable by the way.......

Battery wiring coming from the garage (at right) and headed toward temporary radio bench (to left)......

and continuing toward bench......

and dropping to the bench........

and making it's way through the bench shelf .........

to the delrin plate and 3/8" threaded rod terminals.......

Now to the new bulkhead.......outdoor view.....drier vent, ground, and 17 connectors........1/8" aluminum plate screwed via stainless screws to window frame......

and the rotor controls at the other end, complete with the rotor calibrator switch mods.......

Oh yes, and the temporary shack bench with the minimal equipment.....this is JUST TEMPORARY FOLKS!!!

Now the center tower improvement....USED to be a short STEEL support pipe IN the tripod, then a really long ALUMINUM pipe in the rotor and all the way up.......

NOW it is a much longer steel upport pipe coming out of the tripod, and 15' of smaller steel mast (a 10' and 5' bolted together) and two thrust bearings, one at the top of the support pipe and one in the middle.  A lot more stable, but still making a rather silly effort to make the 10' tower into something it really isn't.....time will tell if this holds up....from about a foot above the crossboom and up is still aluminum though, only supporting the loops......

And now added above the main stack is a tri-band vertical....2m, 222, and 440.........

A view of all three stacks.....on the right some may notice the Antron is gone, and the Imax replaces it....the 6 meter horizontal is now pushed right up to the base of it........
