Also while listening around this week on the vertical, I noticed, I don't know if this is the right terminology, but it looks as though some of the noisy spots aren't noise at all, but a second repeater on the frequency that sounds like its out of phase, with this the carmel repeater fades in and out accessibility, out of the blue, I'm gonna go on a whim and say its because the 2 meter been is just 4 feet below it, to be continued.
