the M2 is really something else. After about just a year I had to take
down the 13B2, as the landlord thought it to be to big and a liability,
his words were, you can have antennas, just not so large, although the
straps hold to this day, and are the very ones in use with the 2m7 and
420-11-50 70cm. I would've gone with the 2M9 14Foot Boom, but I didn't
wanna rock the boat. About the cw, its nice to use it, to home in and
from what I regularly see, its used for 2m weak signals to lock into
someones signal. I can still read about 10 wpm cw, but I wouldn't
personally wouldn't use it for conversation, with a straight key, there
are just to many freeware apps like WJST7 one can interface with a
computer & keyboard these days. I'm actually looking into high speed
meteor scatter, which is a mode most can use just about any day of the
week for contacts all over the U.S on 2meters, using high speed cw at
1800wpm burst. I'm still very much a novice on this front, but I'm
seriously gonna try it out. If you've heard this all before, forgive me,
I've been off the air for more than a decade so whats old is new again
