<div>To modify an Icom SM-8 for use with a Kenwood, and still retain the use of the "up/down" buttons, here is the schematic change.</div>
<div>Bear in mind, you will need an extra wire in the mike cord to do this, so you will have to steal a cord from a Kenwood/Jetstream/Alinco stock mike or such.</div>
