<DIV>You're right. I just checked . It's the shure 444D that I have. Got
the numbers crossed with the 55S ( the Elvis Presley postage stamp mic).
My 444D is plastic, un-amped. Looks just like the SBE, but very
different. I'd love to use the 444D/Sily again . Maybe a retirement
project for the L.I. shack. No room for it in this one. I have a half
working Sily for parts and the zapped one. Make a Frankentronix
out of it. Wish I had one of Larrys' old ones. The silys always sounded
astonishing to my ears.</DIV>

don't know all the Shure models, but I do know they made a metal one
in the same case as a Turner plus 2 which looks a lot like this, but
