never did fit any mold. In my left wing radical days, the Marxists cursed me
as a "Marxist revisionist" which is about the nastiest thing one could be
called by a Marxist. Trotskyites for some reason wanted a fist fight over
poltical theory. The "Socialist Workers Party" usually wound up rabid and
foaming at the mouth as a result of discussions of politics. Of course I got
along well with " Hippie Folk", Viet Nam Vets against the War and the Black
Student Union. How did I get from there to here? All I can say is "What a
long strange trip it's been!" </FONT></DIV>

"Politics of Obedience". He was a 16th century philosopher. It is a short
read, but very worthwhile to stimulate thinking. It is particularly
interesting as he was a (close) contemporary of Niccolo Machiavelli.
Actually read both philosophers and think which is preferable and which
dominates current political theory and practice. Consider where we have gone
since the early days of the twentieth century. </FONT></DIV>
