[450] Guess the component

John was the closest.

 

The piece is a attenuator, a precision 10 GHZ attenuator 6 dB.

 

The “dumbbell” was housed in a aluminum cylinder that kept a constant impedance thru the pad.

 

The blue discs are 155 ohm resistors from the center brass ring to the out edge and the cylinder in the middle is a 39 ohm resistor.

Those values in a PI configuration  = a 6 db attenuator…
