Although it was the microphone of choice, I believe there were RF problems withe SM-8 on the Fireball XL5 as well.

</div>I have had no RF problems with mine either, the kenwood MC-85 (similar to the sm-8 except you could have 3 inputs) I used to have was the complete opposite...
