[450] Any using or trying DMR?

Shawn,

I am able to use a repeater 40 plus miles away using an HT/rubber ducky from inside the house. I put up a 3 el beam for about a 17 dBm gain. It is another nice toy for the toy box! It is nice to have a lack of noise and decent audio.

George

I got it working on windows 10. I don't see where to set ts or tg on the md-380 software, only the splits, color code, repeater slot. if you know of a good tutorial on this rigs programming,, let me know. I bought a 3 foot sma to female UHF 259 Cable from amazon, I'll try it out once I get this done, I programmed 2 frequencies but haven't heard squat, guess im doing it wrong.

David,

I am using DMR and have the MD 380.

I do not recall having to use a driver and don’t think one is needed as there is no chip in the cable and if I remember correctly, the programming software will recognize the radio. You have a VG DMR system in CT. I believe I saw a code plug for CT somewhere. BTW, I am using Win 10. Have had no problems except for learning to write code plugs. Have you registered with the system?

I will get the URL for a website that has a good intro and send it to you.

I am currently using a repeater that is about 45 miles away and can get in using the stock rubber ducky from inside the house. I routinely use a three element beam that provides about 17 dBm gain. That way packet loss is minimized.

If I can be of further help, let me know. We can make contact on NE Wide and sw3itch to TAC310 once we make contact when you get set up

George

I purchased an MD 380 and having issues with it being recognized after installing the right driver. On windows 10.
