Oh those carbon element telephones! I have had one in use as a backup for at
least 15 years. It works when nothing else does. I rescued it from a
laboratory. It sat in storage until contamination decayed for 15 half-lives
(215)  , then I brought it home. Would not part with it!

As you all know, I don't much dig change either.  I like blue plates, carbon
element telephones, etc.

Wow. I love that! Im a huge fan of the old CT plates too...wish they never
would have changed them
