I am planning on attending....might stay over my cousins Sat night before so as to get there early....with my usual tailgating of course.

Hope we can all make it for some grub!

      Less than three weeks to go until Southern New England?s biggest and best Hamfest.

      The 21st annual Nutmeg Hamfest will be held Sunday October 13th at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel,
      275 Research Parkway in Meriden, CT.

      Gates open for tailgating and inside vendor setup at 6AM. Inside exhibits open at 8AM.

      Presentations include QST Editor Steve Ford, WB8IMY speaking about  getting started in the digital modes;
      and well-known radio host and NASA Ambassador Andy Poniros discussing the challenges involved in the successful Mars Rover mission.

      Major vendors include Lentini Communications, KJI Electronics, Battery Tech, and Quicksilver Radio; see the latest and greatest in transceivers and accessories for your station.

      We?ll have plenty of tailgaters as well, and you never know what irresistible ?treasures? you?ll find there.

      ARRL Section Manager Betsey Doane, K1EIC will host the Connecticut State Convention, along with New England Division Director Tom Frenaye, K1KI.

      Looking to upgrade (or get) your Ham Radio license? We?ll have a VE session for all classes.

      CT ARES will demonstrate an emergency communications vehicle, as well as several go-kits.

      And don?t forget the fun and camaraderie of seeing old and new friends in person.

      For complete information, visit our Web Site at http://www.nutmeghamfest.com

      We?ll see you there!

      Thanks and 73,

      John Bee, N1GNV
