Possibly.
I moved the antenna to different spots on the roof but it didn't make  
any difference. Her car *is* pretty small, but I ran a crappy radio  
shack cb mag mount cut to 10m on my old VW Rabbit and it worked fine.  
Her car is that much smaller.
