that little camera still takes great pictures.
I just logged in to my CL&P account and was greeted with:
Estimated date and time your power will be restored: Monday, November 07, 2011 12:00 AM

Here you go....this is our house to the left side beyond the wires and tree downed.

We cleaned out the fridge yesterday. I havent tried plugging the fridge
into the 2000 watt peak generator that UPS delivered last night but it ran
two PCs, the router/switches/cable modem and furnace with out much trouble.
Kim is home today because school is canceled still, got her set up with the
TV now that cable is back on. Drove around the neighborhood today and didnt
see a single line crew, still lots of poles and wires down everywhere. My
parents and brother in Waterbury both got power back yesterday (town plot
and east mountain), but like i said havent seen a single line crew in
overlook. Plenty of AT&T crews out there though.....
Home depot in Fairfield has pallets of generators (5000 watt, 6250 peak,
$599) if you need one.

Sorry Dave, pain to deal with....
We have no power back projections for Newtown. Yesterday they were not
even putting us on the online list to update. When I called them after I
saw that....the woman groaned when she heard me say Newtown. She said
honestly, it was not even a projection yet. That Newtown was slammed so
severely that they couldn't even wrap their minds around it.
So, that is where we are....we are so screwed. I am so sick of being
cold. Our house is maintaining at about 50 ish degrees, but the throw away
has begun. Yay.

The boom is slightly bent but probably unbendable. The elements at the
ends both came off at the boom ubolts but the trap sections were not
damaged, so assuming I can get replacements for those it should be
salvageable. The two drivens are also bent at the risers but can
probably be bent back. All in all it isn't catastrophic but always a
pain to order aluminum tubing.

Sorry Dave. No hope of resurrection? Don't forget I still have an old

All my antenna stuff held up, but I have no services.....
See you guys in a week or two.....
