[450] Failure

Bob, I'm sure the mechanics at woik have some of that "PRB?" penetrant, ya know, the one that dissolves styrofoam cups (selling ploy). Or at least some good old Liquid Wrench. With a little heat applied to them with a narrow soldering iron tip....may do it. If the hexhole rounds out, an easy-out tool may help (bring the mechanic a coffee for use of). If ya get 'em out, a little Never-seize(bring a donut too) will ensure they will always come out.
If all fails, ya have to drill 'em out. A small left-hand bit with the drill in reverse will sometimes "bite-in" , grab the set screw, and spin it out like an easy -out. No bite, then you have to drill most of it out being careful not to go deep, and maybe re-tap for a larger setscrew.
But, being an old gearhead, I'm sure you know this stuff anyway. Crap like this can drive ya nuts sometimes.
Pipe

  Today's project has failed.
I was doing fine until I ran into 4 out of five set screws frozen in one of the old loops......stopped me dead until I can aquire some more parts.
  Bummer.
  Maybe next week.
