I'm no fan of the newer radios (HF should be operated on something old with an analog meter) but I'm no fan of spending a lot of money either.....there is an Icom 736 waiting for me if I ccan convince myself to spend $500....

I want something with HF+6 so that really narrows the field. I'm looking at FT-950 and the Flex-Radio Flex 3000 as new rigs, later model rigs like the FT-847, 746pro, 756proii+. Also some of the more rare kenwood HF-10 radios with the 6 option installed. Ideally it'd be something like $400 but I doubt that will be the case.

Any thoughts as to your ideal candidate?
