I will also be trying to put up my 18 element 440 in the next week or so, so I think mutual testing will be in order Dave. I think we should ALL try for capabilities on 440 simplex/sideband
just in case we ever need to get away from someone or just as a change of pace / propagation experiment, etc. Who knows, we might find we like it up there!
We can just say "I'm going upstairs for a minute, be right back..." ha ha just like the old cb days with the "secret" codes and "private" channels!

Subject: [450] 432 Operations
I just picked up a used 19 element beam for 432 and my new (to me) rig should arrive sometime next week. I still need to take down the rotor and ship it back to hygain for another overhaul, hopefully they figure it out this time. However, I do expect to have some 432 capabilities by the end of next week.
Rich, I know you have some limited 432 capabilities and Bob, you have plenty. I'd like to see if I can get on with anyone once it's up. It wont be any higher than my stuff is now unfortunately, but I will have it above the 2 meter beam at least. On the bright side, when the 706 is connected to the 2/440 vertical, i have absolutely no noise, so I'd expect to at least work Rich over sideband at the very least.
