If you had a way to mount it, sure....like bonded in a ferrule (sp?) like the "Firestick" antennas.....
The square fiberglass tubing with sleeve capability would have been light, strong, easy to drill, and would have avoided the need for keepers and insulators for John's project......or the tubular would have been REALLY cheap....
